Expansion guide · ZKONG

How do you add labels to an existing ZKONG system?

Expansion requires validation of the installed platform, access-point capacity, fittings and integration flow—not only the new label model.

THE RIGHT END-TO-END SEQUENCE
01
Inventory

Record the installed system

Do not decide compatibility from a similar-looking model name.

01.01

Platform

Record cloud type, software version, licence scope and authorised account structure.

01.02

Radio infrastructure

Check access-point models, locations, coverage results and current loads.

01.03

Mechanical parts

Validate installed rails, clips and stands against the exact new enclosure with a sample.

02
Capacity

Calculate the effect of the new load

More labels or stores may change communication and licensing requirements.

02.01

Label capacity

Evaluate planned devices together with current load and expected growth.

02.02

Coverage

Survey new aisles, floors or stores; do not assume the old survey covers them.

02.03

Licence

Check device and store limits and include any required expansion in the plan.

03
Transition

Use controlled addition and rollback

A new model or batch should be validated in a limited area first.

03.01

Sample batch

Test pairing, templates, updates and device status with real operational data.

03.02

Traceability

Record model, store, shelf and product pairing where operations can access it.

03.03

Phased rollout

Expand by store or department after success criteria are met and retain rollback steps.

IMPORTANT

A suffix such as “-E” or a similar SKU does not prove hardware compatibility; verify the exact model and installed infrastructure.

NEXT STEP

Turn what you have learned into a practical plan for your store.

Explore products directly or combine labels, accessories, infrastructure and services only to the extent your operation requires.
